In the weight loss world we see progress photos that make us all believe that the person being highlighted lost a ton of weight in a short period of time. Adele’s weight loss photos are some of the top viewed photos right now, and everyone wants to believe that she found some magic method that we don’t already know about. We all want to believe that drastic weight loss can happen very quickly and with minimal change.  As a weight loss business owner it is easy to feel pressured to keep up with the Jones’ and provide the same type of photos as advertisement… even though it isn’t realistic.

Don’t get me wrong, I highlight loads of clients who have AMAZING results in a pretty short amount of time. They put in work to achieve those results and deserve all the praise. But lately I have been thinking more about the ones you don’t see. The hundreds of clients that I have had that haven’t lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks earning the spotlight of a success story post. While my success story ladies have put in work, so have so many others that go unseen.

Behind the scenes I celebrate with women who email me saying things like:

“Today I was able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded. I can’t remember the last time I did that.”

“Today I jumped on the trampoline with my kids because I actually had the energy to do it when they asked.”

“Today I threw half of a chicken biscuit in the garbage can because I just didn’t want the rest and it wasn’t worth it. I have never done that before.”

“Today I crossed my legs for the first time in years.”

“I have been a Lean Queen for one year and have lost a total of 25 pounds. It may not seem like much, but I have never been able to stick to any type of weight loss plan this long before.”Lean

These women are experiencing total life change y’all. Nutrition success does not always look like a new pants size. Success can look like something very small, yet very life altering. Success is chipping away at something day by day, slipping up some days, but still staying the course and staying realistic. Success is anything that takes you in the direction of greatness. Success is positively changing the way you have done life for the past 20, 40 or 60 years and having the strength to maintain that change.

I wish there was a more visual way to highlight my ladies who are making small but powerful strides every single day. I hope you know that I see you and I am SO PROUD OF YOU!
